Who we are

EICR Milton Keynes arranges Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for landlords, letting agents and homeowners across Milton Keynes. Information we collect

Your name, telephone number and, if you give it, your email address.
The property postcode and details of the property: its type, number of bedrooms and anything that affects the inspection.
Anything you choose to tell us in the quote form or by phone, such as tenant access arrangements.
A tenant’s or agent’s contact details, where you ask us to arrange access with them.
Basic technical information from your visit, such as IP address and browser, recorded by our hosting provider.

We do not take payment card details through this website, and we do not ask for special category data.

How we use your information

To answer your enquiry and confirm a fixed price in writing.
To arrange access, carry out the inspection and send you the report.
To send an itemised quote if work is needed.
To remind you before your next inspection is due. You can ask us to stop at any time.
To keep the records we need, and to deal with any query or complaint afterwards.
To keep the website working and secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Tenants’ information

If a landlord or agent gives us a tenant’s details so that we can arrange access, we use them only to arrange and carry out the visit, and we do not contact the tenant for any other purpose.

Legal basis for processing

Under the UK GDPR we rely on: your consent, where you have asked us to contact you; performance of a contract, where we are quoting for or carrying out an inspection; legal obligation, where we must keep records; and legitimate interests, where we are arranging access, sending renewal reminders, and running and securing the site. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets one essential session cookie and does not run analytics or advertising trackers. Our Cookie Policy sets out the detail, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

Third-party services

The site is hosted, and form messages are delivered to us, by service providers acting on our instructions. They may process your information only to provide that service, and are bound to keep it secure. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page loads. We do not pass your details to anyone else except where the law requires it.

Data retention

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Where we carry out an inspection, we keep the report and associated records for as long as they may be needed as evidence of the inspection and to meet our legal obligations. After that they are securely deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take security seriously.

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
